FOUR PROJECTS APPROVED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION WITHIN THE TAIEX PROGRAM

In order to achieve goals defined in strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia, and due to its commitment to contribute through peace and stability to building and strengthening of security, development of capacities of the Republic of Serbia and building adequate secure environment, partnership and engagement in the multinational operations with mandate of UN and EU, the Directorate for Project Management has, in cooperation with the Peacekeeping operations centre JOC GS SAF, drawn up the following project proposals to be financed from the EU funds, that have been approved by the European Commission within the TAIEX program (special department within the Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission): 

 

  1. ''Support in preparation of independent realization of the Military observers course'' - study visit
  2. ''Support to independent implementation of Military observers course'' - expert mission
  3. ''Systems and methods of funding the Peacekeeping operations centers in other countries'' - expert visit
  4. ''Systems and methods of financing activities and involvement in multinational peacekeeping operations'' - study visit

 

Start and end dates for implementation of these projects were planned for 2014.

    Officials of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, led by colonel Dr. Katarina Strbac, director of the Directorate of European Integration and Project Management of the Defence Policy Sector, attended the two-day seminar on civilian capacities in multilateral missions, which is a part of the project “Development of National Capacities of Serbia for Participation of Civilians in Peace- Support Missions”.

    Director of the Directorate of European Integration and Project Management, Colonel Dr. Katarina Strbac, as part of a five-member working group of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, attended the advanced research workshop “Implications of Climate Change and Disasters on Military activities – Building Resiliency and Mitigating Vulnerability in the Balkan Region”. The workshop was held in the period from 4 to 8 July 2016 in the Republic of Bulgaria and supported by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program.

  • 30.06.2016. | Representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark visits the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia

    In organization of the Directorate for European Integration and Project Management, Mr. Kurt Refsgard, a representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark, visited the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the period from 28 to 30 June 2016, with a view to continue project cooperation of two national defence sectors.
